Correlations among several screening methods used for identifying wood-decay fungi that can degrade toxic chemicals

Correlations among several screening methods used for identifying wood-decay fungi that can degrade toxic chemicals - Biotechnology Techniques, 5(4), p.275-280, 1991 .

Several established screening methods were evaluated to examine enzyme production and toxic-chemical-degrading ability of four wood-decay fungi, including Phanerochaete chrysosporium, Pleurotus ostreatus, Auricularia auriculajudae, and Lentinus edodes. A correlation among various measured parameters for each fungal strain was established. This correlation may be used as a basis to simplify screening programs for wood-decay fungi that are capable of degrading toxic organic compounds.
