Nanocapsule formation by interfacial polymer deposition following solvent displacement

Nanocapsule formation by interfacial polymer deposition following solvent displacement - International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 55(1), p.r1-r4, 1989 .

Indomethacin-loaded nanocapsules were prepared by deposition of poly-(D,L-lactide)polymer at the o/w interface following acetone displacement from the oily nanodroplets. An attempt was made to elucidate the mechanism of formation in terms of interracial turbulence between two unequilibrated liquid phases involving flow, diffusion and surface tension decrease (Marangoni effect).
