Ejidos in Mexico: actual situation and problems

Of the various social reformes undertaken after the Mexican Revolution in 1910, agrarian reform can be said to be the most important, in the sense that it has hed great influence on the socioeconomic stucture of the country. This reform has consisted of three major elements: disolution of the hacienda ("large estates"), protection and fosterage of the small landholder, and formation ot the ejido.
