The purpose of this chapter is to review the opportunities for production of alternative jet fuel components from alcohol. This includes a review of potential conversion technologies and their state of development, a survey of the market and economic drivers, and an assessment of competing technologies. Given the lack of public information, the production costs for the various conversion technologies were not assessed.
