Elicitation of sanguinarine accumulation in Papaver somniferum cells by fungal homogenates-an induction process - Journal of Plant physiology, 125(1-2), p.167-172, 1986 .

Treatment of Papaver somniferum cells cultured in vitro with Botrytis culture homogenate resulted in sanguinarine accumulation. This accumulation was demonstrated to be an induction process by employing L-tyrosine [C-14(U)] as precursor and showing sanguinarine accumulation and the incorporation of label to be inhibited by actinomycin D and cycloheximide.
