Summary, etc. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS)was used to study the interaction between a titanate coupling agent and CaCO3, and revealed the existence of chemical bonding. Interestingly, this interaction was found to take place beneath the surface of the CaCO3 particles rather than on the surface.
