El estudio y desarrollo de materiales compuestos Cuero-PVC, ha sido trabajado por un grupo de investigadores del CICY. Producto de esto han sido un material al que han patentado bajo el nombre de Terpiel. Sin embargo, hasta el momento solo se ha producido este material a escala de laboratorio. El presente trabajo constituye un primer paso del escalamiento a nivel semi-industrial, consiste en el desarrollo y descripción de la metodología básica para la elaboración del material compuesto Cuero-PVC (Terpiel), a nivel planta piloto, empleando el proceso de extrusión, con el fin de obtener los datos necesarios para su eventual transferencia al sector productivo y de esta manera contribuir a la preservación del medio ambiente. |
