La finalidad del presente trabajo fue evaluar el efecto del ácido salicílico en parámetros de crecimiento y producción de chile habanero cv Habanero (Capsicum chinense Jacq). El experimento se realizo en condiciones de invernadero en el municipio de Chicxulub Pueblo, Yucatán en los meses de julio/2004-mayo/2005. Se utilizaron dosis diferentes de ácido salicílico (AS) en concentraciones molares de 10-6, 10-8, 10-10 Y un testigo. La aplicación se realizo en la mañana en cuatro ocasiones a los 15, 23, 31 Y 39 días de edad de la planta, bajo un diseño experimental de bloques al azar, con 8 repeticiones y como unidad experimental 12 plantas. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que el AS en las concentraciones probadas incremento significativamente la altura de las plantas. A las concentraciones de 10-8 y 10-10 M se observó un incremento de 12 y 9 por ciento respectivamente mayor que el testigo. De igual manera 10-6 Y 10-10 M AS incrementaron el diámetro de tallo en un 23 y 16 por ciento respecto al testigo. Los tratamientos que produjeron los mayores rendimientos por hectárea fueron 10-6 y 10-8 M con 42.8 y 38.9 t respectivamente iefeiente al testigo que produjo 34.8 t. En frutos de primera calidad no se presentaron diferencias significativas, sin embargo 10-8 M incremento un 24 por ciento más que el testigo. |
