Las instituciones de educación superior que forman parte de la Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUIES), son en su mayoría las sedes, además de responsables de un número importante de museos en el país, todos ellos de significativa relevancia. Estas instituciones, ampliamente familiarizadas con la museología y la museografía, albergan valiosas colecciones, realizan investigación asociada a estas áreas y forman a profesionales que directa o indirectamente prestan sus servicios en estos recintos para la conservación de sus colecciones. Por ello, la ANUIES vislumbró como una gran oportunidad su participación en el 6- Congreso Internacional de Museos Universitarios y ahora, en la edición de la presente Memoria, a través de la cual será posible recuperar las aportaciones del Congreso y volver la mirada hacia los museos, para rescatar su función como espacios en los que la transmisión del conocimiento es posible a través del diálogo, la libertad y la pluralidad. Consideramos necesario revalorar a los museos universitarios como auténticos centros de cultura donde los futuros profesionales. |
