The conference promised to be an interesting event. The technical program involved the presentation of seventy-three papers, by more than one-hundred and fifty authors representing fifteen countries. The opening technical session of each day of the three-day conference featured two Plenary presentations, followed by two parallel tracks of technical sessions for the remainder of the day.
