Un desarrollo agrícola sustentable se logra mediante el diseño y operación de agroecosistemas acordes con su ambiente. El clima y la calidad agrícola del agua subterránea (CAAS) son factores importantes para la planeación de la agricultura de temporal y riego, respectivamente. El objetivo de esta investigación fue la zonificación agroecológica del estado de Yucatán (1 :250000) mediante el análisis espacial de la Longitud del periodo de crecimiento (LPC) o Duración del periodo de lluvia (DPLL) y de la CAAS. La DPLL se abordó en dos vertientes: el método FAO y el índice de humedad mensual (IHm). El análisis espacial de la CAAS se realizó con las concentraciones iónicas, la CE, relación adsorción de sodio (RAS), salinidad potencial (SP) y salinidad efectiva (SE). Mediante geoestadística se delimitaron; las áreas para agricultura de temporal y riego de acuerdo con la DPLL y la CAAS respectivamente. El mejor modelo cartográfico de la DPLL se logró con el IHm mayor o igual a 0.65 y con la ETp de acuerdo con Thornthwaite. Se formaron cinco niveles de la DPLL (3 a 7 meses). Con la CAAS, se identificaron seis zonas: 1, I1 Y II1 no recomendables por cloruros, SP, SE y CE + RAS; IV Y V condicionadas por cloruros, SP y SE, pero valores altos de CE; y VI buena por cloruros, SP, SE, pero valores altos en CEo. |
