El proyecto se desarrolló en el Centro de Investigación Científica de Yucatán, A. C. (CICY) en el departamento de Cómputo área redes y telecomunicaciones, en los doce cuartos de telecomunicación, distribuidos estratégicamente con una de topología estrella extendida; la implementación consistió en integrar un total de 19 Vlans, con 840 servicios de red, se utilizaron un total de 36 Switches marca 3Com de la familia 5500, 4800 y 4400, cuatro routers cisco y seis Puntos de Acceso, los cuales fueron configurados para su óptimo funcionamiento; implementando al finalizar el proyecto una administración confiable, seguridad eficiente y por ende proporcionando mejoras en el ancho de banda de la red. |
