Las investigaciones en café se han orientado a la optimización, tanto de la embriogénesis somática directa (ESD) como de la embriogénesis somática indirecta (ESI), como herramientas de micropropagación. Existen diversos factores que influyen y modifican este sistema, como son: el explante, el genotipo y el medio de cultivo. Sin embargo, en el medio de cultive existen diferentes factores que alteran el proceso embriogénico y la fuente de carbono es uno de los principales factores que modifican esta vía. Actualmente se están llevando a cabo estudios para conocer en detalle los eventos que conlleva a la respuesta embriogénica. Una alternativa es analizar el efecto, en la ES de C. arábica, de las diferentes fuente de carbono. |
