Las plantas aromáticas han acompañado a los seres humanos desde tiempos remotos. Su aprovechamiento, así como el de sus aceites esenciales, puede tender puentes para avanzar simultáneamente, tanto en el crecimiento de la actividad agroindustrial como en la conservación de la diversidad biológica. Para ello, es necesario desarrollar investigación científica y tecnológica que nos permita conocer y utilizar las plantas aromáticas nativas de México, las cuales constituyen un recurso natural con gran potencial. Este libro ofrece una primera aproximación al mundo de las plantas aromáticas a través de una pequeña muestra de veinte especies silvestres de Yucatán. |
