La red surgió por la necesidad de fomentar y difundir la cultura cafetalera de México. Una de las conclusiones de nuestros estudios previos (2003-2008), fue considerar que con ello contribuimos al desarrollo social, económico y al cuidado del medio ambiente, con igualdad y justicia social para los trabajadores del campo y los habitantes rurales. Café In Red se propuso apoyar la generación de políticas públicas para la producción de café de calidad. Construimos nuestras propuestas partiendo del siguiente principio: que las organizaciones de productores promuevan acciones que generen ingresos justos para el bienestar de los trabajadores y sus familias, con prácticas que ayudan a cuidar los bosques, el suelo y el agua que permiten el cultivo del café |
