La principal fuente de abastecimiento de agua para el estado de Yucatán es el agua subterránea, ya que se carece de fuentes superficiales; de ahí la importancia de protegerla y garantizar su calidad para los diferentes usos. El recurso hídrico es abundante en la península de Yucatán, pero la calidad del mismo se ve comprometida por diversas fuentes de contaminación puntual y difusa, de origen natural y antropogénico. El objetivo del estudio fue la caracterización del agua en cenotes de dos zonas del anillo de cenotes. Además, realizar una evaluación espacio-temporal de la calidad del agua e identificar algunos factores que gobiernan el entorno químico de estas aguas utilizando para ello correlación y estadística descriptiva. |
