En Chiapas, como en otras entidades del país, las viviendas rurales habitadas por familias de bajos ingresos económicos, muestran severos problemas de hacinamiento, insalubridad y seguridad. Este trabajo plantea la construcción y aplicación de un modelo que evalúa las condiciones de la vivienda rural y su entorno inmediato, a partir de indicadores, parámetros y niveles de calidad sanitaria; con ello, se pretende identificar, medir y controlar los posibles riesgos a la salud de las familias, que por su condición socioeconómica están imposibilitadas a acceder a servicios de agua y saneamiento; también se ofrecen alternativas orientadas para lograr una vivienda rural saludable, con beneficios sanitarios ambientales y económicos, que contribuyan al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de las familias rurales. |
