17 strains of New Guinea Impatiens belonging to the I. schlecteri-linearifolia group and to the I. hawkeri-mooreana-nivea group were analysed for the anthocyanidin pigments. Pelargonidin predominated in the schlecteri group white malvidin was most common in the mooreana group.
