(Apocynaceae)of Vietnam, and its structure was elucidated. It was found that ecdysantherin is a pentacyclic sap©nine molecule with three sixmembered and two five-membered rings. An intermolecular OH.-.O hydrogen bond generates infinite chains of molecules in the z direction.
