Resumen: Attempts were made to isolate acetylcholine receptors from the electric organ of Electrophorus electricus by means of chloroform-methanol extraction and subsequent purification on Sephadex LH-20 columns. Evidence is presented which indicates that the "receptor"-ligand binding observed may be artifactual.
