Resumen: When an electric impulse of a fcw milliseconds was applied to point~adherence protoplasts isolated rrOID cultured cells of Rauwolfia serpentina through glass capillary microclectrodcs, rosion of the protoplasts was irnmediately induced. This phenomenon seems to he rdated to transient changes in the rncmhrane sta te, such as mcmhrane excitation, induced by elcctrical stimulation.
