The method of mathematical simulation is used for analysis of some methodological problems related to the application of adiabatic calorimetry: correctness of the procedure of initial temperature determination, influence of thermal inertia on temperature distribution in a reacting system, features of data interpretation in the case of a complex reaction mechanism, etc. The effectiveness of the approach based on the use of mathematical simulation and appropriate software is illustrated by several examples.
