Tema(s): Recursos en línea: Resumen: The purpose of this study is to develop a computer-aided engineering (CAE)analysis technique to assess the structural deformation and induced sun tracking error caused by weight and wind loads for a high concentrated photovoltaic (HCPV)system. A prototypical HCPV system is applied in the current study to analyze the structural deformation under two different loading conditions, namely, no wind and wind speed of 6 m/s. The misalignment of solar radiation for Fresnel lenses caused by the structural deformation of the solar tracker is also calculated. Based on the von Mises criterion, no structural failure is predicted for the given solar tracker under the given loading conditions. The calculated maximum misalignment of solar radiation is 0.19° which is below the acceptable value 0.5° for a highly efficient HCPV system.
