Tema(s): Recursos en línea: Resumen: In this series quercetin-derivatives are the predominating glycosides, accompanied by kaempferol- and in some instances isorhamnetin and myricetin glycosides. Almost all glycosidic types of sectio Tuberarium are to be found in series Tuberosa. So this series can be placed at the end of a developmental line of the South American species. Regarding the flavonoid pattern, the systematic position of the tuber-bearing Solanums is in accordance with that indicated by other characters of the taxa. For further taxonomic treatment of the group the flavonoid pattern can offer hints for a new classification.
