Tema(s): Recursos en línea: Resumen: The patterns of leaf flavonoids are given for species within the series I-XVI of tuberbearing Solanums arranged after HAWKES (1963). A developmental line can be distinguished between the series starting with a basic pattern of rutin and related simple glycosides, over additional monosides and biosides to complex branched triosides or even tetraglycosides, the latter acylated with cinnamic acids, too. Possibly there are hints for a new classification of some species by means of the flavonoid pattern.
