Tema(s): Recursos en línea: Resumen: CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats)/Cas9 (CRISPR-associated protein 9)system is the new weapon in the arsenal of genome editing tools with the benefit of simplicity and convenience over the existing technologies. In the recent past, different research groups have successfully illustrated the potential of CRISPR/Cas9 based viral resistance in plants with stable resistance equally for DNA and RNA viruses. In this chapter, we have highlighted the recent progress in the area of genetic resistance developed for plant viruses with major emphasis on the latest genome editing tools particularly CRISPR mediated virus resistance in plant system.
