Recursos en línea: Resumen: In this paper we have studied the measurement of the motion of crack faces, total load point displacement, stress intensity factor, plastic zone size in three point bend specimens having chevron notch and chevron notch with precrack using laser speckle photography. Displacement map around the crack tip obtained by laser speckle photographic technique is used to calculate plastic zone size, to study asymmetry of the motion of the notch and crack faces and opening of the crack.
