Recursos en línea: Resumen: A technique is presented for determining stress intensity factors from thermoelastic data away from the crack tip. The concept, which is based on equilibrium, compatibility and the J-integral, uses a complex-variable formulation involving conformal mappings, analytical continuation and numerical techniques. The method is demonstrated here for loaded cracked orthotropic composite and isotropic plates containing an edge or a central crack.
