Here, the hypoglyeemic effeet of R. ribes root extraet in healthy miee was investigated. Fasted mice were given a single dose of 50 mg/kg of three extraets of different polarity from R. ribes by gastrie feeding and the blood glueose was measured O,1,2,4, and 24 h later. The aqueous extract showed a significant hypoglyeemie effeet./n vitro, the aqueous extraet stimulated insulin release from INS-lEeells at both stimulatory (20mM)and non-stimulatory (1mM)glucose eoneentrations, thus suggesting a meehanism for the in vivo effeet. The hypoglycemie active fraction was found to contain anthraquinone glycosides of aloe emodin, emodin, physcion, and chrysophanol derivatives UR - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fPBdUyayPXxT3L6SysQnNRYlu85oX0uu/view?usp=drivesdk ER -
