Salicylic acid: A new inhibitor of ethylene biosynthesis - Plant Cell Reports, 5(2), p.144-146, 1986 .

Salicylic acid_~and ace~ylsalicylic acid at concentrations of I0 vM to 10-'M effectively inhibit ethylene production by pear cell suspension cultures. Results suggest these acids act by blocking the conversion of l-aminocyclopropane-l-carboxylic acid to ethylene.
