N2  - The model of Cxnxrrov et al. (1976)on sex investments in hermaphrodites is modified to include self-fertilization. The modified model here shows that selfing in hermaphroditic organisms should increase maternal investment. However, in gynodioecious species, the degree of maternal investment should be affected by the amount of heterosis in the population
