N2  - The effects of gibberellins (GA3 and GA7)and cytokinins [6-furfuryIaminopurine and 6-(3-methyl-2-butenylamino)purine]on three species of green algae - Chlorella vulgaris, Scenedesmus quadricauda and Dictyosphaerium pulchellum - were studied. It was found that these substances stimulated cell division and increased the dry weight of the algae. The growth responses of algae varied according to the form of cultivation, i.e. monoculture or mixed culture
