<br/><br/> The vessels in 146 species of 97 genera drawn from all 28 tribes of Liliaceae are described in terms of occurrenec and specialization throughout the plant and in relation to taxonomic considerations. Vessels occur in roots of all species and in the stems of at least some species in Asphodeleae; vessels are absent elsewhere.
