Thymols from bahia schaffneri var. aristata

<br/><br/> The reports of essential oils in the genus Bahia are uncommon, nevertheless we isolated three thymols from Bahia schafneri var. aristata (1). Two of these compounds, thymol(2)and eupatriol(3), are described in the literature. The third substance is the monoterpene 9-hydroxythymol, whose MS, lH-NMR and 13C-NMR data are shown.
