<br/><br/> The chief constituent of the essential oil in the leaves of the Aguacato-Tree (the Mexican Avocado-Tree)is estragol. This substance has been isolated and identified in the thin layer chromatogram and infrared spectrum. The gas chromatogram permitted to identify and to determinate quantitatively the accompanying substances beside the estragol.
