New cytokinin from Populus robusta

<br/><br/> A new cytokinin was isolated from mature leaves of poplar. Its structure was determined by UV and MS and confirmed by synthesis as 6-(o-hydroxybenzylamino)-9-ß-d-ribofuranosylpurine. This cytokinin has medium activity in the soybean callus test but shows high activity in the radish leaf senescence test.
