TI - Day Lenght and Flowering in the Solanum Aviculare Group KW - SOLANUM AVICULARE N2 - Most members of the Solanum aviculare group flowered only in long days. but there were day-neutral races in S. simile and S. capsiciforme. S. aviculare consisted of ecotypes in which photoperiod was adapted to latitude and temperature. A race from 6°S could flower normally in 8-hour days, and more southerly races required increasing photoperiods; but day lengths sufficing to produce flowers in warmer months produced abortive inflorescences in cooler ones. In S. laciniatum no latitudinal change in critical photoperiod was apparent UR - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wSrLjGINb05gnKwiDpZ9xvGGmdl0GlE7/view?usp=drivesdk ER -
