Growth of avocado fruit callus and its relation to exogenous and endogenous cytokinins.

<br/><br/> Callus derived from avocado cotyledons and mesocarp was grown in tissue culture. Cytokinins in nutrient media were vital for the growth of mesocarp callus but not for the growth of cotyledonous callus. It was found that cotyledonous callus synthesized Cytokinins.
