In tests of spray-induced gene silencing (SIGS)using dsRNAs of P. pachyrhizi chitin synthase genes (dsCHS), which are important for the differentiation of appressoria that are needed for infection, soybean rust lesion formation was reduced. Further, treatment with dsCHS suppressed appressoria formation. These results suggest that SIGS of fungal CHS genes will provide an additional tool to control soybean rust UR - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QkyN_eCWIxpLe5dGu9TmIDFDfGtG3UKo/view?usp=drivesdk ER -
