Tema(s): Recursos en línea: Resumen: RAPID AND INEXPENSIVE DESALTING OF CHROMATOGRAPHIC SAMPLES AFTER HPLC. Many methods are available for desalting samples after HPLC separations. Convenient, disposable desalting columns are available in prepackaged forms from several manufacturers and can be operated by gravity flow or centrifugation. These columns are typic ally apcked with gel permeation materials, such as polyacrylamide or cross-linked dextran. One drawback of these columns, however, is that they can be expensive if used only once depending on the number of samples to be processed. Alternatively, processi ng to remove the retained salts if the columns are to be used repeatedly can be very time consuming, especially if gravity flow is used. Loading multiple columns and processing by centrifugation also requires considerable time. Other inexpensive methods.
