Recursos en línea: Resumen: A general description of the soil--plant--atmosphere model (SPAM)is given. Emphasis is made as to the logical sequence of the operation of the model by use of various submodels depicting the soil, plant, and climatic interactions. Examples of the testing of the model are discussed. Some simulation studies are given to show how the model can be used in setting priorities on those variables that have the greatest influence on plant responses.
