245 1 0 _aThermochemical decomposition of hydrogen sulfide by solar energy
490 0 _vInternational Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 12(10), p.679-685, 1987
520 3 _aThe decomposition of hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur using concentrated solar radiation was investigated. The effect of temperature and residence time on hydrogen yield was studied using alumina, nickel-molybdenum sulfide and cobalt molybdenum sulfide as catalysts. It was found that hydrogen yield of 13-14(percent)can be obtained in a very short residence time (0.3 s)and at temperatures less than 800°C. The decomposition mechanism followed a second-order irreversible rate equation.
