520 3 _aAnthracnose caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in Jatropha curcas cause serious damage in northern parts of Karnataka. In vitro evaluations of six fungicides revealed a cent per cent mean mycelia growth inhibition by Carbendazim, Chlorothalonil, Propiconazole and Mancozeb at 500 and 100ppm. Among nine botanicals tested, fresh leaf extract of Prosopis juliflora showed maximum inhibition (93.33(percent)and 96.22(percent)) followed by Azadirachta indica (88.89 and 86.67(percent)) at 5 and 10 per cent concentration, respectively. Least inhibition was by Chromoleana odoratum (24.07(percent)and 5.93(percent)). The generated data help to plan effective farmer friendly on-farm management trials as Prosopis and neem are abundantly available species.
