490 0 _vAnnals of Applied Biology, 82, p.147-150, 1976
520 3 _aFour-lobed glandular hairs on the leaves and stems of the potato species Solanum polyadenium provide a form of resistance to larvae of the Colorado beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata. On contact, a sticky material was discharged from these hairs trapping a few larvae and encasing the feet of others. Larvae with encased feet fell from the plants to die.
